Stephanie Kaye
Executive Director

Stephanie has spent the past two decades working and volunteering with a variety of non-profit organizations in the UK, US and Switzerland, including many years as the Financial Director of Street Kids International based in London. Stephanie holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba. She currently lives with her husband, three children, and dog in Verbier, Switzerland. She is an outdoor enthusiast and triathlete in her spare time!

Loy Tumusiime
Asssistant Director
Loy, our very own fistula success story, is a mother of three and the current program coordinator for Fistula. She has a great passion to see women who have been victimized with this condition return to perfect health. She has trained numerous Fistula Ambassadors who help to reach out to the women all over Uganda to ensure they are treated. Her passion and zeal drive her roles, making the Fistula program in UVP very rewarding. Besides work, she is interested in making crafts and sharing her experience with others.

Harriet Nakayiza
Program Manager & MEL Officer

Harriet holds a postgraduate diploma in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor’s in Development Studies from Kyambogo University and is currently completing her Master’s in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Uganda Martyrs University. She is passionate about public health, women’s empowerment and education, and community engagement. Harriet has nine years of experience with NGO program management and development and has a diverse background in sexual reproductive health (SRH), livelihoods, research, and advocacy. She loves empowering communities and creating change in the lives of vulnerable populations.

Alex Basalirwa
Program Coordinator

Alex first served as Team Leader during the 2017 UVP Internship Program, where he supported implementing the Healthy Villages program. Alex later became a volunteer with UVP, until joining the organization full time. He holds a degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Kampala University and additionally obtained a Certificate of Leadership Skills from the university’s School of Arts and Social Sciences. Alex is passionate about public health, with experience in WASH programming. Alex’s internship with UVP, prior internship at the Iganga main referral hospital (Nakavule), and volunteer opportunities helped him gain experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities with low resource communities. Alex loves helping and working with people in the communities to become agents of change and facilitators of their own well-being.

Evelyn Nabwiire
Program Coordinator

As a former fistula patient, Evelyn is dedicated to finding other women who suffer from obstetric fistula. She is from a nearby village in Bugiri District in eastern Uganda, where she lives with her three children and mother.

Robert Mukholi
Program Coordinator

Robert has over 10 years of experience working with NGOs in Uganda having worked with both national and international organizations including Redeem International and Lutheran World Federation . Robert holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute and a Bachelor of Community Based Rehabilitation from Kyambogo University. Robert has a wealth of experience in project management, community development, SRHR, women rights and empowerment, livelihoods and youth programming. He is passionate about community transformation and loves playing soccer during his free time.

Judith Alaba
Program Assistant

Judith is a hardworking woman who also enjoys doing physical exercise. She has several years of experience with patient identification, community mobilization and sensitization, counseling and guidance education sessions in public health activities among others.  She holds a certificate in medical records and information management system from PMI training and consultancy center.
